Keel weights actually help alot when the fish are deep this time 'o year. I usually use 1/4 or 3/8ths oz. with a green or red wedding ring and a 1/2 a worm dangling off the hook.


Another favorite is a Rapala with 1/2 a worm on the bottom rear hook. In the spring I use regulars but when lakes are warm like this fish are 20 to 60 feet down so a deep diver might work. No sinkers required.
