I have 3 custom Loomis float rods for jig fishing that are from 11'4" to 13'. I love the long rods for float fishing, they make a world of difference when fishing a float. Line control is the key to getting the bites. Alot of bites are missed because of slack in the line and the long rods all but eliminate this. Good luck with the rod, you'll like it.
