Hmmm...those charts show that old white men, religious zealots, and self-proclaimed conservatives are the Republican voting base.

Now there's a big fuckin surprise.

Note to Republicans: You already own the old white conservative religious nut vote.

It has proven unable to win you a national election.

You will have to do it by making inroads in other demographics.

To do so you must stop purposely offending those other demographics in order to please the one demographic that you already own.

Now to most this kind of stuff would seem pretty goddammed obvious, but to the Republican Party it clearly it is not very obvious. Perhaps they think minority women are striving to join as part of the old white conservative religious nut demographic, they just need a good party to show them the way.

Perhaps they believe that Latinos and blacks will all of a sudden become old, white, and conservative, too, so that what they are doing will suddenly appeal to Latinos and blacks, too.

Those are pretty solid possibilities, so I again encourage the Republican Party to keep pandering to the old white religious conservative males...I mean, it's not like that demographic is getting smaller or anything...women, minorities, and progressives are just flocking to it as fast as they can run.
