As far as restaurants in Friday Harbor go, I really like The Place. Blue Water Bar & Grill is also good. We went to the Downrigger a few weeks ago, and it wasn't what it used to be so I wouldn't recommend it. Herb's Tavern is still the best local bar in town.

Friday Harbor also has a good seafood market right out on the dock. If you can't come by any fresh fish/crab on your own, they can certainly help you.
