$200 a week with a subaru could get you a job in fuking Montana! $400 a week after taxes is about what I'd expect or more.

If you wanna get in shape, make good money and do a little traveling, you should look into roofing. Commercial roofing that is. I did it for a while and we did mostly thermo plastic roofing. If you have the skills you say you would be applicable, you're still young. I made good money but I tried to throw my foreman off a roof one day and we went seperate ways. I called in sick with the flu, the one and only time I had, one the day they happen to be doing evaluation and were giving $4/hr raises. I was a damn good worker and was told I would have to wait until next quarter. I almost had Steve thrown over the roof when I snapped out of it. Yelled and kicked [Bleeeeep!] and that was it. Still pisses me off thinking about it. Anywho, I was out of shape and scared when I started. My back felt like it was broken the first month but after you build strength and find ways to get through the day its kind of awesome..

Some of thise jobs pay prevailing wage at $40+/hr.
And there were many over 34, but it ain't for eveyone.
