My uncle just got laid off at Boeing Everett after the vote. He does IT stuff but he already has a retirement from IBM.

I went to Charleston for work back in November of 1987. Nice place. The people are pretty laid back and pleasant. In fact my wife went there for work earlier this year and enjoyed the place.

Appears that South Carolina is offering corporate welfare to entice Boeing to the tune of $1B. Sounds like they have some problems and have to send engineers from Seattle to fix their problems. It could turn out that the unions could organize the workers. Don't leave the product line without a note.
