I bought the parts at Ollie Damon's, they said these are the parts that fail, don't expect the fix to last very long. If they lied to me and said the plastic bar was a problem and it isn't, that's fine, it was $2.00. I bought 2 sets of those and the new kick levers, After talking with them and many friends with this reel, all saying the repairs don't last, I decided to sell the new replacement reel ABU sent me. Mine was fixed twice by ABU and it failed each time on the first trip, so a total of three failures in three trips, that's why I sold the new one they sent me.

If you have a different experience with them great, I didn't want to take the chance of being in Mexico, Florida or Alaska and having it fail again. The second two failures were in AK with no back up reel with me.

Just looked at the link. The part is listed as the clutch link, it's plastic and deforms. Item #5
