Pretty much on the mark I think. Now the other side which is modern urban populations and salmonids are NOT incompatible. Want fish to recover? Ban harvest, mandatory urban population growth limits, mandatory landscape management for forest lands, and the fish will do fine thank you. Now if we choose not to ( as we will ) then it is about compromise, steady population growth and the thought we can restore habitat when the growth is destroying more than we can or will restore.
