So...USC Cornerback Josh Shaw is a big ol' hero...jumped off of an apartment building balcony, spraining both ankles, and crawled to the pool and was able to get in the water and save his young nephew from drowning.

Except...that there was no nephew. Or a drowning.

Shaw admitted that he just didn't want to get in trouble with the team and made up the story about the drowning nephew, and that he just jumped off the balcony because he was being a dumbass.

And it now looks like that the reason he jumped from a second floor balcony was connected to having a fight with his girlfriend, and he has been named in a burglary report connected to the incident, but has not been sought as a suspect.
