It all starts with youth.
Will tomorrow's youth even have a chance to learn the trade??
I have my doubts and it's soo sad.

Below I don't see much "ego" in the pictures.
They are simply pictures that will hopefully be in my family forever.
Much like the pictures of my family homesteading the town which is now below the Cowlitz.
They are moments in time that hopefully remain ageless.

I will never forget giving the big motor just a bump of throttle to beach my sled on a hot summer day.
After a life time of doing it I never thought twice about it.
Obviously my 1 year old son on fresh legs had no clue it was coming.
He fell down and hit his face on the rod tray.
You can see his black eye in the picture I took at home below.

My eyes just started to water.
Pictures instantly bring back emotion.

Sacrifice a day of drinking or a day of numbers on the river.
Take a kid fishing.
More then once.
The future of our sport needs people that are passionate about its future.
People that want to continue doing it.
As a way of life.
The young people.
The future of the fish.
