To add, this is wet Western Washington. Wood stocks suck here. 99.9% of shots are going to be sub 200 (max) unless on shooting on the dry side. A 20" or even a 16" barrel shoots just fine in these dense woods and has less barrel length to hang up in said woods. Plus, it's just fun.
