When I rebuilt the top end of my Alfa, the exhaust valves were 60 dollars a piece crazy They were sodium filled, the intake valves were about 10 dollars. Finished up, torqued the head gasket, damn near finished, then dropped a nut in one of the the spark plug holes. cryriver Had to buy a new head gasket and finished the next day. That sports car held 12 quarts of oil, at 50mph it had half of it's HP left, in 5th gear I would blow past V8'S on the freeway. Loved those dual Weber 40's side draft carbs...I had dozens of notes left on my car of people wanting to purchase it.
