havent really been tying... here and there.. i bought a new vise last winter and kinda just stopped... just been keeping my ideas in my head...

i also dont use jigs all that much, twitching yes, but regular ones not so much... ive been having lots of fun spoon fishing, and have figured out flows and weight of spoon for the 2 rivers here... gonna head west after Christmas at some point, maybe get Katie on a fish... might just pay Robert and go on the Queets or Quinault, havent decided yet...

fishing, yes, when the river allows it... need the Carbon to be below 300 (470 now), and the Puyallup needs to be below 900 CFS to really work the water, and its at 1750 right now...

im gonna go mess with the bulls on the upper river after the main stem closes on the 31st... last time i was up there was in October, made 2 casts in one of my spots, and nailed a 19-20 incher... dont know what it is about those fish, but they really intrigue me...

they also plant steelhead at the Electron dam for mitigation purposes, the problem tho, is that they generally start returning around the 3rd week of January, and it closes the 15th... ive hooked big fish in there early January, but have lost all of them and didnt get a chance to see them...

a buddy of mine got a nice "native" steelhead about 3 weeks ago at the confluence of the Carbon and Puyallup, around 11 pounds and brighter than just about any fish ive seen.... i think tho, its a non clipped hatchery fish out of the tribal hatchery in Wilkeson.....
