As and old guy I am not app crazy. That said I imagine it will work OK but I will be willing to bet it will have a bump or two down the road.

Especially if someone is willing to take them to court. From experience, they'll bluff as long as possible. I have seen too many citations for illegal fishing tossed due to improper notice.

12/31/2025 I'm gonna' stick with my hard copy license and catch record card. And the regs, I'm never really sure what they are these days. I kinda' go with the flow and assume that's legal. People understand the current way, it works or there would have been changes long ago. I see nothing that benefits current fishers!!!!!!

Perhaps they are trying to attract the crowd that is permanently glued to the electronics. And since many of them are, too, it makes sense to them.

Why are people being so dense about this? Do you think the app cannot work offline at all? That one can't fill out the form, phone saves it and the app updates when service resumes.... just like any one of your unsent text messages to your boyfriends that didn't send for the same reason? Cmon people use some common sense. No nobody was saying that, what I said and I will just repeat myself because perhaps you can read this time. First off there is no battery to die in the old punch card. Secondly, if your punch card gets wet it can dry back out unlike your phone, I usually don't carry a phone because I end up in the water once or twice each year. Thirdly, punch card fits inside my wallet so is always carried. Fourthly, once I quit my job I'm not even going to have a phone period, so it's bizzare to assume everyone has a smartphone because if it wasn't necessary for me to do my job I would not have one.

Same here, FP. A phone is for phone calls.
