I would just like to say one thing here. Kinda cool that we all have a great deal of vearying opinions..BUT I think we can all agree on one thing

That is what bonds us, as fisherpeople... fishing, our boats, dreams of 'THE BOAT' or the first boat. The bragging factor and willingness to share things we have learned to make others fishing trips that much more enjoyable.

Oh and the one that got away!!

So, to all, good luck and tight lines.

Eventhough .MY 1970 Fiberform is the nicest fish slayin' machine on the water... wink :p

Of course untill I upgrade.. beer

I have a '72 Fiberform 22' with a 200 Yamaha and a 9.9 electric start kicker, red and white. http://groups.msn.com/PSASnoking/psaboats.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=98

Nice fishing platform, she just can't take the pounding that she used to. Yes, this thread comfirms I'm not alone as far as fixating on boats and my next fishing trip.

I also have a pontoon boat that I'll try out lake fishing once the sound closes down.

Your going to have to tell me how you did that 4salt. You must be clairvoyant, as I was thinking about that name, but for my next boat some day....

Here's my mistress... The Salmonator

She's a wee bit over 16' powered by a 50 Merc
which trolls down perfectly. On a flat day, she'll do 37-38 mph without skipping a beat. A little bumpy in the chop, but who cares when the fishing is good or the weather is nice?

Two Scotty electrics DRs, Scotty Black Box, VHF, H'bird Fish Finder (ok laugh- I like the tri-beam), GPS (hand held), live well used as fish (or crab) box.

I can fly fish from the bow... I have even had wake boarders in tow

She'll launch anywhere!

Plenty of fish blood stains too...

Homesick now...

Two boats in the driveway here, 2000 15ft northwood with a 2003 johnson 25 hp and also a 1973 eastside drifter driftboat. love them both. Will probably upgrade on the driftboat next year, but for now it work's great. moose

19 ft North River, 175 sportjet, 9.9 yamaha. Depthfinders front and rear, every inch dedicated to fish catching deadliness. I wanted this boat for 20 years, finally got it.

and from the back

And for when the water is skinny, have a 15 ft Lavro pro flyfishing drift boat.

Sitting in a parked boat daydreaming - glad to hear I'm not alone! thumbs

Sold a 16 foot fiberform (great boat) and got an 18 foot Seaswirl last year. A real fishing machine, perfect for the sound. Dreams of doing some San Juan gunkholing this year...

Then for the rivers a 15 foot Klamath with 50 hp jet. I call it "tin can" because if I run into anything it's going to dent! But, it is easy to launch and perfect for small lakes also.

Then there's the old 16 foot wooden sail boat I built back in 1982. It's sitting under a tarp in the back yard. Can't sell something that I took almost two years to build. So it sits waiting for the day I get an uncontrolable urge to go sailing...

I have a 2002 15' Smokercraft Tracer powered by a 25HP Yami 4 Stroke. 2 forward mounted box seats with 2 removable pedastal seats in the back. 2 Big Jon Electric Captains Pac downriggers and Hummingbird FF. (VHF Radio on the way). Doesn't do 100 mph but moves along pretty well. Clocked it at just under 24MPH with a hand held GPS. It works out well because I get to go out with Dangeeerous Dave in his beautiful 22' Trophy or Rick 68's 22' Bayliner when the water gets too rough for my boat, and they fish out of my boat on trips to the Columbia, Cowlitz or Wind River!

My boat is 31 years old and may be the heaviest driftboat in the state...which suits me.

It sure is a pig though...

Gets me on the river, gives me an opportunity to fish with my son (all too rarely these days frown ) and into fish...what more could I ask for really?

Just got my first boat less than a year ago. 1987 Boston Whaler Revenge cuddy. 20' I had to compromise family boat and fishing boat. I think I got the best of both worlds. It has 200 hp Mariner and 9.9 Mariner that starts on first pull every time. So far so good need windshield wiper and drop curtain for blackmouth fishing. unfourtnatly that may have to come after I build my house. Very clean solid boat for its age.

I've got an 8ft. Water Skeeter Snohomish that i bought for $400.00 "new". I bought it from Oregon Fishing, but it had been opened up as a demo boat in a store so it was discounted from $600. I just bought it at the begining of winter so I haven't had very much time to use it...Yet.
My other boat is a 12' fiberglass P.O.S. rowboat I got for $30 that i use when the river gets lower. I stick an electric motor on it and go up and down the river retrieving all the gear that people lost during the winter runs.

Got my first "real" boat two years ago. 15' Arima Seahunter 70hp Johnson and matching 6hp Johnson kicker. Custom full-canvas with backdrop and trailerable cover, rhino-lined floor, two electric Cannon downriggers, black box, fishfinder and gps. I bought the whole setup for $4500. The catch? Boat and motors are 1984 although most people think mid-90s. Receive compliments everytime out. Awesome 2 person fishing rig for the Puget Sound.

Hey guys, there are a lot of good boats on record here so I would love to brag about mine. I have a 19 ftl glassply, 1975, with a 135 Evinrude. Two penn downriggers and full canvas top. I dumped the boat on the Narrows bridge 20 minutes after buying it and after two hours and many friendly waves from passersby we towed the boat home. We call it the Narrow Escape. If you see me out there give me aholler. I fish out of Port Madison on Bainbridge Island. I am looking for a new motor any suggestions would be welcome.

17 foot canoe with camo paint job, and a 12 foot john boat whose hole has been patched with JB weld. Got lots a friends with nice boats. They pay the bills, I bring food, pop, beer, gas money. Great deal for me. Neither of my bots have ever been out of commision due to mechanical failure.
