Obviously it's never occured to him that some people actually marry their best friend and would rather fish with them than anyone. If I were given the choice to fish or hunt with my wife versus some guy, I'd pick my wife everytime since she's my best friend. And that's without the advantage of counseling.

I know an awful lot of senior Army and Marine guys that would rather golf with their wife than fish or hunt. Guess I'll have to break the news to them that they're just not real men.

I really don't know the answer to your question. Long before she met me, she lived in Minnisota and was into walleye and pan fishing.

After 30 years together, I don't know if she'd go back to walleye or stick with salmon...

The "best friend " is code for a lot of dyfunctional issues in the marriage. The most common result of this term is it was more comfortable to settle on this description than to deal with the issues. It shifts the purpose of the union away from the traditional relationship roles of marriage.

Congrats on the 30 years, seriously that is something to be proud of. I fished with 4 guys from Minnestoa at Hakai pass years ago. They where the funniest 4 guys I have met in a while. The acted more like Canadians with their carefree attitude. They called it MinnnsooooooootA. Anyhow we where five days into the trip before we realized one of them was a woman and was married to one of the guys. An off color joke by one of the guests drew a Hey watch how you are talking to my wife from one of the guys. You could have heard a pin drop in the lodge. She could fish and drink beer just like a dude.

Elvis can't even comprehend levels of measurement. Technically there can be only one best. Ergo, I married my one and only best friend. All others I'm acquainted with are merely friends.

Having friends is probably a foreign concept to Elvis as well. Maybe he can talk to his counselor about that.

THE LOVE DRESS

A M stopped by unannounced at a friends house. She rang the doorbell and walked in. She was shocked to see GH lying on the couch, totally naked.

Soft music was playing, and the aroma of perfume filled the room. "What are you doing?" she asked. "I'm waiting for my husband to come home from work," GH answered "But you're naked!" AM exclaimed.

"This is my LOVE dress," GH exclaimed.

"My husband Love's me to wear this dress," Said GH. "It excites him to no end. Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and ravages me for hours on end. He can't get enough of me."

AM left. When she got home, she undressed, showered, put on some Agua Velva, dimmed the lights, put on a romantic 8 track, and laid on the porch waiting for her husband to arrive. Finally, her husband came home. He walked in and saw her laying there so provocatively.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"This is my LOVE dress," she whispered, sensually.

"Needs ironing," he said. "What's for dinner.

Our deal is simple anything outside I do anything inside she does. I love to cook so I do the dishes when I do which is a night or two a week. I also take care of the kids quite a bit to give her a break so I do the housework that needs to be done while I have them. I gave up running the family business in 1996 when my daugther was 2 in favor of s simpler life. I work 5 days a week but no more than 40 hours as a salesman for an out of state company. So alot of my time is my own. I am not independantly wealthy but I do OK. We live well below our means as quality of life is more important than material possesions and time away from home working. I generally do the opposite of what everyone around me is doing.

Sure, he keeps talking about them horses he goes into the mountains with, and he just built a new barn 'cause the one in Enumclaw got busted.
