Hard to beat the prices on those jigs Parker....they are cheaper than a corkie. It's been a while, but I think I used to pay $0.89 for a ten pack or something ridiculous like that.

Crappie Jigs are cheaper than steely jigs, but I have had the cheap hooks straightened before...

The white jig pictured was one of 2 orders from Bass Pro Shop and an order of 200 is under $40 putting the per jig price @ 20 cent a piece...if you can find the Wally world shelves with some they went up this year 10/$1.29 for the Laker brand...the price is worth the smile watchin people [kids] catch fish, thats one reason we give to anyone who asks and offer to the kids on the bank...I did tell the 4 kids on sunday that we gave jigs to, that when they become Millionaires to remember us and if they have an extra jig offer it to your fellow fisherman...The smiles brought on by your fist salmon is PRICELESS...

Uh yeah. Meant to say don't buy the pre-tied steelhead jigs. The crappie jigs should be (and sound like they are) cheap.

Hey Rog, you going down or up river from Douglas?

Your post go me thinking about years past, and I always went upriver from the bar. Never down river. Don't even know what's past eyesight at Douglas. Sad, really.

We'd just walk the boat up to Crab Bar, smack on a few bazillion humpoids and folat back to the launch. Same when the coho stacked up in the eddy at the tail end of the bar. Huck some Dick Nites, get a quick limit of slimers, and go home.

Now, I kinda wished I had gone DOWN river. Would like to know what is down there.

Parker ...same as you...never fished below douglas...all our hump come from the launch up to the first corner...now when the Ho's come in Sue n I actually take the db up into the Thomas Ed but thats another thread for later time...all I can say is "I don't waste Dick nites on humpies...and I don't throw crappy 20 cent jigs at Ho's" but we do catch a few ho's on those crappie jig...i've already seen this year...

Funny, out of the ten I've kept, I think only two were bucks. I thought the bucks hadn't come in yet. I caught a humpy filled with eggs on opening day, July 16, and most of my action this week has been female. I guess the ladies are just more attracted to me than they are to you ;\)

The 4 fish we caught at BP last night were all hens. It's about time a female showed some interest;)

I'm going to regret this, but it's just to easy...

In my experience, it's always the males that come first. BUT, when the females do, it's a glorious thing.

Have at me. I'm punchy due to way to much travel and missing all the fun.

I've just been bankin it as time permits after work, and my mix has been 4 males and 3 females. Pretty even mix so far, although 2 of the females were last night. Last night was fun. 3 hours of boredom interupted by 10 minutes of mayhem...LOL.
Fishin just upriver from downtown Snohomish.

Finally got around to taking a photo of another jig alternative for those that want to use it.

All it takes is a lead headed jighook and a skirt:

Slap the skirt on the hook and you're set!

You can get all that stuff in bulk for cheap. No reason why anyone shouldn't go out and just slaughter the humpoids in the river with a jig.

Thanks Parker and everyone else.
I am going to take my 3 year old out this weekend for humpies.
Anyone know if the snoqualmie has fish right now?
It's a little closer for us and you never know how long the patience of a 3 yr old will last.
Thanks,

Geez Parker, your kid is getting big!
They sure grow up fast, going to make a good fishing buddy.
