Cross the sound and head north.
How long depends on how fast you are going.

Due NW from Shilshole. I'll be launching tomorrow night from Shilshole around 415ish, and can point it out if you're there. I'll be in a black Denali towing a white Arima.

You know, I think there are two good things to do:
1. Go to any fishing tackle shop and get the "Fish 'n Map" of South Puget sound ($7) 2. Get online and open up google earth (free!)
With these two tools you can plan yourself some EXCELLENT trips!
If you're feeling particularly fired up, get the North Puget Sound map too, for another $7 and you'll be covered for a long while.

Does anyone have comments on the evening fishing? I can't get out in the mornings usually. Is there a good bite in the evening anywhere near Shilshole?
I see Jeff Head and Skiff Point as possibilites. And Meadow Point maybe?

Skiff and Yeomalt have been slow, I've spend a fair amount of time there and have only seen rezzie silvers taken. Seams to be kind of tweener right now.

Jeff head sucks, rarely a fish is caught there, that is the reason for all the boats there.

I am not sure I follow...
There are no fish caught there, but there are always people fishing there? That does not make sense to me.
In you opinion, what is the area to fish then?

Jeff head sucks, rarely a fish is caught there, that is the reason for all the boats there. In a backhanded way this is really all the advice you need to learn to catch salmon in Puget Sound, particularly if you are a downrigger fisherman. Go to the biggest concentration of boats you can find and watch who catches fish. Follow them, match their speed, lures, and depth their fishing. Learn by observation and an occasional question. Be the report that everyone else is reading rather than fishing.

Thanks fellas. I do pay pretty close attention when I am able to get out and fish. I just have limited time and would like to make the most of my opportunities when I get a chance to be on the water. I will keep trying!

I heard that edmonds produced some fish on sat. off the oil docks, and out front of the pier.
