Sounds like all the boots on the market are not perfect and have one thing in common; it's hard to build something designed to get wet constantly then dry out, then get wet again ; over and over and over again.
Keep those suggestions/feedback coming ! It's helping !

Korkers for me. I can change soles in a couple of minutes. Just keep what I'm not wearing in my pack.

I had my 1st pair for 4+ hard years before I had to get new ones. Had the recent ones for 16 moths+. No problems. They are worth the $ for their versatility.

Go to WalMart. Park for free. Be greeted by a friendly senior citizen as you enter. Push your way through the "People of WalMart", which is easier to do if you avoid the cookies, snacks, and $5 dvd aisles. Near the back of the store, you'll find sporting goods and all the bass and walleye gear you could ever want. You don't want any of it, so keep going until you come to the wall shelving where boxes of hip boots are displayed. Hip boots are all you need; you're a bank fisherman, how deep does the bank get! Now, you have to make a decision... nylon w/rubber boot, or rubber w/rubber boot. At checkout you'll be out about $25, but you will have earned enough air miles to fly from one end of Boeing Field to the other. Also, you will have saved enough to pay for a couple trips to Emergency following riverbank falls. BFD, you don't have osteoporosis, do you? Just remember, it's the riverbank that's slippery, not your WalMart Boots. Good luck.

And DO NOT make eye contact with the horny fat chicks or you will never be heard from again.
I think Cedar's been captured and is being forced to lure in new "subjects".
In fact, I'm sure of it or he would have posted the WARNING.

Simms or Patagonia. Pay a little more and get a lot more out of 'em.

I have had Korkers for about 3 years, never had a problem with stuff between the inserts, never had a insert come out. Mine were the the Streamborn model and was about $140, and they are still in great shape. But I try be good to my stuff.

Loft my man, ignore all this CRAP you've seen posted so far. I can't believe no one has mentioned THE BEST wading boot on the market.

It's 100% Rico APPROVED!

It's 100% WATERPROOF!

IT'S GUARANTEED TO FIT ANY FOOT!

It's the MOST comfortable boot on the market.

It's the LIGHTEST boot on the market!

It's the CHEAPEST boot on the market!

Announcing the ONE AND ONLY............

RVRWDR BOOT!!!!

As a comparison, I've put it up DIRECTLY against the SIMM's G4 Guide Boot.

Can you tell the difference? I don't think so.......

It's all you need. Just ask Rico.

I got korkers for father's day. The rubber on my felt soles that connects it to the boot broke. Pretty awesome but an easy fix.

Next time will be patagonia. Can't beat their exchange policy

Patagonia are the most comfortable boots I've worn to date.

Parkers boot gives a whole new to meaning to "don't be a fool, wrap the tool." smile

That boot reminds me of the new Korkers flats sneaker. AP?

Cabela's needs to bring back their Guide Tech boots. They were the best wading boots I've ever had. Comfortable, stable, long lasting. I liked them so much I bought extras before the first pair was dead. Glad I did because they discontinued them.
Wholesale Sports had Korkers on sale late last winter so I got a set. Total garbage. The interchangable sole wasn't a problem, it was the sole of the boot they attach to that came off.
I'm wearing an old pair of Cabela's Guide boots right now but they need to be replaced. They've been pretty decent boots but have also been discontinued.
It seems like the good boots I've had have are no longer in production. I guess I'm not much help.
Oh, I've tried a set of Cabela's studded boots in the last 18 months too. They sucked. The studs in the ball of the foot won't stay in.

I bought the simms knockoff allens brand wading boots at bi mart a couple years ago. They run a size big for me, they are very heavy and I pulled the laces apart first trip. But they have lasted otherwise and they were only $40.

You guys are risking your lives with your Korkers.

Tell me more about this RVRWDR. Does it come in a left-hand retrieve?

My current Simms offer really good support and protection but they are BIG and fairly heavy. Mine are felt but I've never thought the felt was as good as past boots I've owned. I think it is almost too compressed.

My old, old school Cabela's probably gave me the best bang for the buck but that was a long time ago.

Unfortunately the reason I'm in the market for a new pair of boots is that my Cabela's boots have finally bit the dust...best boots for under $100 I've ever had, and better than most the boots that I've spent more than twice that on.

Fish on...

Todd

P.S. Probably wouldn't wear a pair of Korkers if they were given to me...As a very wise man once said:

"Fool me once, shame on me...fool me twice, won't get fooled again."

Simms, Patagonia, Dan Bailey, or Rvrwdr. Can't go wrong with any of those.

Try packing a limit of fish out in your Simms boots like you can in the RVRWDR's

Love my Chota STL boots, they are great. I have both studded and non studded, depending on if I'm in the boat.
