I am seriously thinking about switching to muzzelloading next year and was hoping that someone might be able to recommend a book or something that I could figure out which gun to start with. Also any recommendations on guns? I see they range from $150 to way up. Thanks,

Be sure to check the regs as a lot of muzzleloaders don't meet the state's requirements.

Check out the Chuck Hawks site for several good articles on muzzleloaders. I believe Randy Wakeman (ML guru) discusses half a dozen or so guns he recommends. I also found the forums on the other two websites to be very helpful (for muzzle loading and otherwise). I bought a Knight Wolverine last spring figuring it was a good entry level gun. Just make sure whatever gun you choose has a percussion cap #11 conversion kit (209s aren't legal in Wa). Smokeless powder and optics with glass are also illegal.
