It's going to be dark by low tide. We're going to be trying Mocrocks the 7th/9th. The sun will be down before 5 pm

Propane lanterns and head lamps make it easier. Something flashing on your vehicle makes it easier to find after you walked 100 yards or was it 1/4 mile down the beach without knowing it.

Take your lanterns and cover half of the glass with tin foil and tape, it give your some directional light, you'll understand why it's nice if you don't wink

We have the lantern with shade, head lamps for walking and for the truck. We learned our lessons on our first couple of trips, but thanks for the reminders.

Can't wait to do a limit of scale and shell on friday! I'll be north, in my spot with the biggies!

Drink at the 109 mill afterwards?

Ho-hum, 3 limits and done. Nice dig this afternoon. Pretty easy limits for 3 of us. Just picked the BIG shows and got mostly BIG Razors for Mrs. fp, my buddy Larry and myself.

We'll see what tomorrow brings?

And a few second video added.

My buddy Larry and I went out this afternoon again hoping to beat the rain and darkness. Beat'em both and got nice big Clams very easily. Might try again tomorrow.

C'mon now, Freddy save a few for the little people... esp the workin' stiffs.

For the love of GAWD... someone needs to take that deadly clam gun from him, folks! Armed and extremely dangerous no more.

While we're at it, them guns need to be outlawed! And with the passage of I-594, if we can't take 'em away outright, at least do criminal background checks on any potential buyers.

BTW anyone else think it should be criminal to let anyone on the beach with wading shoes THAT white? SHEESH... and here he was giving me crap about my white FOLBE's.

Weather wasn't too shabby either.

We got our 4 limits in about 30 minutes at Mocrocks this evening. Nice sized clams. Off the beach before 5:30. Some excitement S of us. 2 ambulances, a fire truck, and the game warden. Some kind of medical emergency close to the water. Hope the person is okay.

Went to the krik this afternoon 3 hours before low tide. Diggin' was a little slow as we were so early. Got our 2 limits filled just as it got too dark to see.

But, we beat a bunch that were still there when we left.

My wife and went to Long Beach to dig Friday and Saturday. got a late start on Friday and ended up with 20 clams but Saturday night we limited out some small clams in this area but a few nice ones as well

If you have a chance to get one of FP's calm guns you better get one while you can, they work great!!

I was a little south of all that, was wondering what was going on.

Friday evening was one of the best fall digs I can remember. Incredible weather, relatively small surf, lower than normal tide, plenty of holes to choose from. All made for easy limits of big clams before dark. Gotta love when it all comes together. Saturday was more of the same, just a little darker.

Finished out with limits Sunday evening in less than 30 minutes including the walk from the truck and back. Nice sized clams.
