I am asking for everyone's help to please sign this petition even if you do not fish the Cowlitz...it could happen to a river close to you very soon. There is a full explanation on facebook on the "restore the Cowlitz" page..basically we are asking them to produce hatchery fish again like they once did..here is a link to the petition..it only takes a minute or 2.. The local communities are taking multiple hits from the reductions in fishing opportunities. The losses also impact agency budgets from reduced license sales. The recruitment of new anglers will drop off, too. It's not just a Cowlitz issue. One only has to look at our recent salmon seasons and the 3 day halibut season we'll have this year.

Knowledge is power.
Some of the people that would see the petition are probably short on knowledge.
A group of people that are saying the same thing might just get heard.
