your right, i was wrong, its still an acceptable form of ID for purchasing alchohol..

but,

ive seen people get denied and refused service, so i guess it could be up to the business owners at that point wether they want to serve them or not....

i dont know why i thought it made it invalid for anything other than personal identification...
