Well the department finally released the announcement to close for king retention in area 11. Despite being short of the sub legal and wild encounters and plenty of hatchery fish around, it sounds like there was little to no discussion of an in season adjustment for the likely larger run size. Funny how the department always errs on the side of being conservative at the expense of the recreational fishermen while commercial and tribal harvest always seem to exceed their quotas.
