If someone makes a claim that a person said something, it is incumbent on them to provide the evidence of said person saying said thing.

For example, all this non-sense about January 6th and I’ve yet to see anyone say exactly what Trump said or did to incite an insurrection… because there isn’t anything, but the lie continues. I’m still waiting to see what words were said or what actions were taken. There is nothing.
