Salmo's conservative attributes explained:

1. Support not just the 2nd Amendment, but the entire Constitution and all its amendments;

2. Fiscal conservatism, support a balanced federal budget;

3. Support military spending;

4. Hang horse thieves - America erred when we stopped doing this. In WA state we enable property crime by failing to penalize it. Police say that 90% of the crime is committed by repeat offenders. Therefore Salmo says if someone breaks into your house, your garage, your barn or other outbuilding, or tries to steal your car, shoot 'em. Dead criminals do not repeat offend. You don't get jail time for car theft in WA until the 7th vehicle; that is stupid!

5. Dealing with homelessness - surveys (not up to date) indicate that 90% of the homeless are drug addicts. Others are truly down on their luck - sh!t happens. Invest in drug treatment. Those who refuse treatment get the "east-side treatment." Designate 150 acres of public land in Grant or Lincoln Counties as a homeless drug user camp. Encircled by 12' cyclone fence (buried 4' deep into a concrete footing and topped with razor wire) and equipped with publicly supplied blue tarps, sani-cans, water tanks, and gov't. surplus food, and little else. This comes under the policy that making bad choices has bad consequences. Or play stupid games; win stupid prizes. Or, stupidity should hurt.

Now for the down and out, 6 months public assistance to get them back on their feet, and then it ends. A hand up, not a hand out.

And the mentally impaired: invest in asylums. WA state had them, but do gooders insisted that involuntary institutionalization violated personal freedom, which it does. If the mentally impaired do not choose the institution, they get sent to the "east side treatment." It is not society's obligation to allow mentally impaired people to wander the streets and steal for a living like drug addicts. They get a choice: asylum, "east side," or family care.

6. Aid for women with dependent children. To qualify, first name the father of each child so that they can be tagged for child support. Dead beat dads are stealing from society. Salmo's society doesn't stand for that. Mom gets daycare and education training to make her employable. If she gets knocked up while in the program, her children go into foster care, and she gets sent to "east side." Salmo believes incentives should be meaningful.

Those are the slightly conservative attributes that come to mind this morning.
