During one of the NOF meetings I ask the head FRAM guy if he used the catch record card data to validate his models. The reply from the state was they didn’t use this data. Catch record cards are for enforcement to check marking compliance of catch by individuals. I think the state and tribes believe the data is corrupted. So why even mark a card? Enforcement can check your catch for non compliance and make sure you have a valid license without it.
