The tribe is also running it's own fisheries dept. They do most of all the fish counts on the Puyallup so the state can do a few other tests there. One thing different this year is the tribe is buying the salmon from their mambers for a buck a pound. Still not sure why, but it has put more netters on the river this year than the last several. Most of the fish on the river are both state and tribal fish. They release around the same. Somewhere around two million smolt each if I remember right. If you land a wild or unclipped silver, it is most likely a White river native. They are getting about 300 fish a day to their up river traps.
