TM, I know what you mean about Boldt. But what I meant was, he was ruling on an agreement put in force in the treaties signed in the 1800's. What happened was with western expansion, the norm for most countries in the world is to annialate and destroy and simply seize what you want. There is no "we'll give you acreage and rights". We did that. Now it's coming back to bite is in the butt. I know all the flaws with the Boldt decision. Luckily, with the flux of casino's/bingo I've noticed alot less netters on certain rivers I fish. I personally know a few guys who used to net that I went to school that stopped netting to go to work at the casinos. Better money there for most. Hope trend continues.
