First of all:
BADDAWG: That wouldn't happen to be a 17' Arima would it? See you in church Sunday?

Second, the boat:
A heavy 1977 18' fiberglass Wacanda tri-hull (large open area to move around) with '78 85 hp Johnson main and '83 9.9 hp electric start Johnson kicker.

Does 28 mph with 2 people aboard, according to handheld GPS. Can seat all 7 of the family and still have room for crabbing/fishing. Does the trick for now.

Have $2600 invested so far. Next on the list are two DR's (debating on manual vs. electric, Cannon vs. Scotty) and an upgrade from an old Eagle Supra Pro F.F. to a Garmin 160 or 260 Blue.

Next boats: 17'/18' aluminum for the rivers/lakes, 28'/32' fiberglass for the salt.

Being fairly inexperienced in salt fishing, I would like to find someone to go out with that is willing to show me some techniques and, demonstrate the pros/cons to the DR's listed above.
