Night fishing one night this summer for kings. I hooked one on my favorite pier rod a 10'6" Lami float rod and a abu garcia morrum. fought the fish for around 20min it was showing signs of giving up so I became a bit more relaxed. Off if goes on another run and the rod slips out of my hand with ease. Stood there speech less while my freinds were laughing on the ground. Probably the funnieset thing I have ever seen someone do was launching a boat. My freind and I launched his and the boat next to us were getting ready to launch well the boat wasn't hitched to the trailer at all and my freind said to them they should at least have the safety chain on. They told us we have done this a million times so there isn't a problem. Well off we go, then all of a sudden we hear an ear drum bursting screaching sound. Well it was the lower unit from there I/O digging into the cement. Our laughter almost caused a boat accident ourselves. Then last fall casting for staging kings. A boat who must have been new to trolling around the gap was cutting way too close to the rocks. We warned them that they were out of the channel so it gets shallow super quick, no sooner did my freind say that all of their 4 rigger booms started bending and the cables from their side riggers were digging into the fiberglass. Never seen people run soo fast in a boat. Needless to say they lost all of their rigger balls, lures, bent rigger booms, and damage to their hull.
