Starfish....Holy Moly I didn't mention what the lines were rated in the write up. I guess that's why scientific papers shouldn't be written after more than 2 beers. Your right, they were all 10 pound test.

The other areas of interest you mentioned, especially how lines perform at various diameters, were considered. I started thinking about how stretch, diameter, and breaking strength are related, and how I might have found a REAL WORLD application of calculas.

Thanks to everybody for your interest. The guys at SportCo really did try and make me feel like a dumbazz for "wasting my time". And I'll accept any line samples but prefer to stick to 10 pound test for anything I do this year.
