I appreciate your candor, Todd.

If you know me well enough, you also know that I don't get too worked up over needless issues, but I'm not afraid to post something up that, as an American, concerns me.

It troubles me to see our country (hell, even this forum!) so divided over political issues. We are all so quick these days to slap a convenient label on the "other side" and then fully discount anything they say or post beyond that. There's too much "venom" and not enough discussion going on...instead, personal attacks get started and the "message" is lost somewhere in the backwash of negative adjectives commonly used to verbally attack the "other side". No substantive progress or discussion (over any issue) can happen in that environment.

I am neither a RWNJ or LWNJ....I'm just an American that loves his country and hates seeing it loose all the ground (for Freedom) that it has gained.

America, as a nation, has existed (and prospered) for over 200 years, and the political systems put in place by the countries founders were, IMHO, "designed" to disallow this type of individual access (or control) over "The People". We've seen in history what happens when men like this Jones fellow are in a position to make substantive changes in a countries political philosophies. It is never good for "The People"..yet, in American we seem to be moving more towards a huge government of folks like Jones, and away from the Freedom and The Constitution that the USA is all about.

Many good men (some on this forum) have fought to help other nations to stop the spread of Communism in their countries, and now we have more than one outspoken Communist working in our Gov't. That concerns me.

All my life I've watched the news and read the papers, and have seen the negative results of this kind of Socialist/Communist governing.

It is BAD for America, and a lot of other Americans besides myself are quite concerned over it. No offense as you are a guy I respect, but telling me to stop being concerned (put the blinders on?) just isn't going to work.

Maybe I'm just too simple of an individual, but that's what I think.

Mike
