Never happened to me but I have heard stories like this. My grandma told me a story once that one of her husbands at the time had a deer taken from him at gun point in south central washington. Growing up in Michigan, this is a common story and people have been shot over a deer.


Yup.

That happened alot where I grew up.
"Two hunters, one deer" usually reads out as 'a misfortunate situation where the bullet passed through the animal and hit the hunter standing opposite." when the story makes the local paper Monday morning.

This "rare occurrence" happened every couple of years down that way. Funny thing though, what was the guy on the wrong side doing in the wide open 5 yards away from the dead deer?
