XMG's are $249 at most shops these days, I believe. In terms of XMG vs. IMX, etc. I have owned both (XMG EXS 96L and STR 1082S IMX). I still own the 1082S. Main reason I got rid of the XMG is length...XMG is not offered in anything less than 9'6". I like the feel of a 9 ft rod much better. In terms of sensitivity, I think the XMG and IMX are very comparable, and not sure the IMX is worth $150 more unless ya gotta have a 9 footer like me. Hope that helps.
