I would be willing to bet that I have used more Vision hooks than most Washington fishermen (over 2000 hooks in Wa and Ak over the past year) and I have never had a problem. I have seen a few funny bends and bad eyes in a box of "V's" but I've seen gammi quality control problems too. I'm not saying that broken/bent hooks don't happen, but if you're bending a "V" chances are a gammi will bend under the same pressure. Speaking of pressure maybe a little lighter drag might solve the problem. For my money, Vision gives you twice the hooks-at half the price. Good Luck!
