Many years ago a man went on a journey. Coming home his best friend came and told him that his wife had been unfaithful. The man called him a liar and sent him away. The friend returned with another friend and tried to persuade the man to listen. You were gone, they said. You did not see what we saw. In anger the man rose up and killed his two friends. He then went out and slew the man they accused of sleeping with his wife. For good measure, he then locked his wife up in the basement. From that day forth, he lived happily proclaiming the beauty and purity of his wife, and rested in fact that no man raised a doubt about it.
