I have two Shimano Stradic 4000's. One is on a Lamiglas 500, the other on a Cabelas 10 ft C44X, Fish Eagle III, which they no longer carry. My father in-law uses the Sustain 4000 with the Cabelas XML rated at 44 million modulus. Cabelas doesn't carry the XML steelhead rods anymore, except for the blanks/kits. They have the Fish Eagle II but it is a step down and is rated at 38 million modulus. Cabelas says the XML is made by America's premier rod manufacturer (Is this G-Loomis?) I want to get the XML and have it built or build it myself and get another Stradic. Need to counter balance the butt with the 10 ft rods. I'm not sure how the GL2, GL3, or IMX compare in modulus and strain rate. I was also looking at the Lami Certified Pro or 1000 but don't know how these compare. Would also like to check out the rods Aerofly is refering. confused
