I fish Loomis rods. All rods I have custom built. I shop around for blanks and get discontinues and sometimes seconds and build great rods.Get blanks from D&E or e-bay sometimes. Love all of my Loomis's favorite has to be my HS1021 IM6, been fishing this rod for at least 10 years. Great drift rod for springers, light tip and good backbone. Getting ready to build a couple more for pulling plugs. I think rods are all personal preferance. I know guys who right now are swearing by the north river rods, good rod for the price. As far as reals goes I swear by my Abu's have quite a few and love the old 6001's, the new ones are all right. My old shimano's I lie pretty good to, hate the corsair I have though it is a 401 and dont like it at all.
