I am very familiar with All-Star rods from back in the day. I've owned between 10-12 of them and loved them. Of course, someone else loved them more than me because I had my supply stolen 3 different times. So, I'm no rep. for them, but I like the rods as you can see I've spent more than $ 1K on them.

Actually, I've owned several reels that were too much reel, and yes, they are still producing better and better reels.

Shimano Calais = 11 ball bearings only about $400 Line capacity kinda sucks, but if they make a larger model, I'd fork it out in a second to get one.

Abu Garcia Eon and Morrum reels = I hear these are exceptional reels from the people I've talked to and the info I found out on them.

Calcuttas are sweeeeet.
