After catching 40 chums in a day of fishing I'm done for the season on those bad-ass fish. Plus I haven't kept a chum in the last five years. Their fun to catch but it gets old fast for me. I'm the type of fishermen that enjoys a challenge. Its commercial and the natives that are dragging their numbers down and by down I mean way down!
Just ten years ago their numbers were strong. I grew up on the Hump and I could remember my dad taking me down and seeing fish after fish being caught. But latley it seems at times their none existant. Its pretty sad if you ask me. I've sat and watched the natives just strip the chum for the eggs and toss the fish back into the water. What a fckin waste!!!! Its pretty sad!
