I extend that to CNN too except when some actual breaking news is going on...like if the Eiffel tower catches on fire. wink

I watch the evening network news, like on ABC, NBC, or CBS. They are pretty straight forward and don't have time to spend on brain numbing round tables comprised of partisan hacks.

I don't live in a bubble. I live on a cool, huge island. And local news is hilarious, with occasional "WTF?" moments rofl Like when one of the young hottie news chicks breaks out a grass skirt and rocks a really good fire dance. Or the weatherman is surfing or slurping noodles while talking. They aren't PC here at all. I got so effin sick of the sanitized PC world of Seattle and everyone's chronic desire to be constantly offended.

I agree about evening network news. They at least are better at hiding their contempt for things they disagree with and it is pretty good coverage most of the time. I also watch a lot of NHK and BBC broadcasts. Nothing like seeing what the Japanese and British are reporting on to get a glimpse of how we're really viewed out there....

Sometimes, for comedy relief, I will watch Fox and MSNBC.
