My grandfather and Bart were good, life long friends. When he passed, Bart sent the family a wonderful letter with old photos of them together and a huge flower arrangement. Mr. Starr was a class act.

A long, long time ago - like in the 50's, Bart borrowed my Gramps 30-30 model 1894 for deer hunting. He slipped and fell on some rocks and took a nice gouge of wood out of the fore end. I've long since been the owner of that 1894 and it's beauty mark caused by Mr. Starr. It's my absolute all time favorite gun and it's taken 3 generations of big game animals including my first deer and elk. It's easily my most prized family heirloom.
