Pretty hard to imagine anyone not liking Bourdain's work. Heck, even Trump had nice things to say about him in the article I read. That's high praise (if from low places) for a CNN employee.

That Bourdain committed suicide really got me thinking. It seemed to me like he lived the sort of life I always wanted to live; fine food and drink, travel far and wide, learning about other cultures, getting paid all the while... Wow. Yet, even all that luxury and adventure couldn't satisfy the root of his depression. Kind of brings home how true happiness can't be found in far off places, in a pile of money, on a plate, or at the bottom of a glass. Really makes you wonder what tortured him so. Seems like he was less lucky at love than luxury. Sad deal.
