Just want to clear up some confusion about statistics. Stats are about a population. While what happens to an individual can be informed by statistics they don't drive the result.

Our son had a neuroblastoma when he was 2 and a half. The stats told us that maybe 100 of these occur annually. That is really comforting unless you are one of the two. While you may be right is suspecting that somebody is desiring attention statistics don't prove anything one way or the other.
