I see on the last picture, what looks like the "red and green" light in the front of the boat. I'm wondering why the lights aren't placed on either side of the bow, they can be flush mounted, and don't have to be plugged in......just flip a switch, on the control panel.

Just asking???? Maybe its a coast guard thing? I do have one similar, for the stern of my boat, that is a "white light".
