The sport angler is not only foregoing harvesting Coho by being excluded from the Tulalip bubble of Coho coming back from eggs supplied to the Tulalips by the state run Wallace hatchery, but sport anglers this year are foregoing harvest again, so Coho can get back to Wallace hatchery for their needs and to supply this year’s eggs to the Tulalip hatchery.

If there is enough Coho to harvest by the Tulalips in the bubble this year, then the Tulalips should supply their own eggs before harvesting just like their state co manager counterpart do with the state’s hatcheries.

The Tulalip bubble should be opened in this area for sport anglers to complement the tribal harvest, since the state has signed off on this fishery not being a conservation issue.
