There is no realistic solution, and that's fact.
Gun laws and gun control won't work...if you've got a thriving gun industry pumping out guns by the billions. No president is going to voluntarily shutdown that industry.
Removing guns won't work - as there are an estimated 400+ million firearms in America alone. I'd wager most of those are not registered in any fashion and would just "disappear" if they were asked to be surrendered.
Having everyone armed isn't going to solve anything, as all that would do is dramatically increase the amount of accidental shootings in America, as most are just that stupid.
No one is going to open Pandor's Box and allow doctors and law enforcement to deny a mentally ill person a firearm. As Steeleworldwide has correctly pointed out, it's easier for America to ignore the mental health issue than to fix it. Just like it's easier for American to ignore the heroin and drug issue rather than fix it. Same can be said for the homelessness issue.
Stupid-ass state initiatives and worthless laws are not going to solve the issue either.
If anything, I'd argue that we HAVE passed more and more and more gun laws and these mass shootings have only INCREASED. A little logic would say that passing these laws are leading to more shootings. I can make you a graph that proves this theory.
You and I are not homeless, not on heroin, or are crazy, so not our problem, right? Right. We all will sleep well at night.
I do NOT agree that we are all one bad bottle of MALT LIQUOR away from going full mental. A few on here, for sure, but not everone.
maybe people should check how they treat people, instead of trying to screw other people over, because thats where you get into these situations in the first place...
by people screwing other people over.....
Easy, Evo. Stand down, buddy. Put the MALT LIQUOR and the machine gun down. And whatever you do next, FOR GOD'S SAKE, DO NOT LISTEN TO COUNTRY MUSIC!!!!!!!!!
