Piper: The problem with trebel hooks is not with vertical jiggs from boats. Nor slining buzz bombs from the beaches, well sometimes it is. The problem is with snaggers using them in places like Hoodsport. I've seen people use larege treble hooks and lead to "fish" for helpless salmon, which is why I don't fish at the hatchery. So I showed him to the warden and he got nailed for 3 fines on the way out.
