The rule is coming to the skok as well..

along with a bobber ONLY section (that is kind of a funny side note)

Look the thing is this; the traditional "biting" fisheries may not actually catch as many fish in the end compared to the snagger/flosser crowd. HOWEVER the "biting" crowd has a much higher hookup to land ratio and in a system with some native fish to protect (NOR or not), lowering our encounter rate is the absolute name of the game. BUT how it stands now, with the current run timing, flows, temp, amount of fish vs. The amount of holding water and the amount of pressure that place will never fish like the hump or satsop or etc...and it shouldnt! The plants should be way lower, but that's another story

Only soooo much can be done to turn the tide of ethics by WDFW, our the flosser delemna, but other things are at work here.. I think they realize that people are still gonna snag and floss with a 48 inch leader, BUT when they rip after that bump the hook should hit the fish sooner and (the idea is) it should be further forward in the head/body to coincide with the "in the mouth to gill plate forward" grey area.

Lowering total encounter rates and getting anglers off the rivers with fish(fish legal to retain) is the key to actually increasing season length and opportunities in some of these rivers.

I hope it passes and is well enforced...and I hope it disgruntles a lot of people into changing their ways and thought process...because I can buy fresh or cured eggs online and bobber gear cheaper per fish then a drift flossed fish ...the method is way easier, funner and can be done by anyone...it's like twitching whistle It still boggles me that people don't look at the facts
